10 Questions for Tom

Our Youngest Winner of a Trophy EVER! Tom Weller

Q1 What's in the Bag?

Mizuno jpx 800 irons (4-pw

Ping G30 Driver (borrowed as I'm saving up for a new onw)

Ping G425 ltd 3wood

Ping ZBX Putter

I don't currently have any wedges or a hybrid as access to Dads wallet is strictly controlled

Q2 What ball did you play and how many did you lose?

I started out with Pro V1 but then lost a couple so ended up with TaylorMade.

I lost about 4or 5

Q3 What was the best and worst part of your game today?

I hit my 3wood about 230yds on a Par 5 to within 5feet. That was the highlight. I'd say the lowlight was that i'd lost the first ball but it was my putting in general. Too many 3putts

Q4 Do you use any yardage gizmos, ie range finders?

I'm old school. None, all line of vision. If I'm doing well i May ask my Dad to tell me what his watch says

Q5 Who were your playing partners and what were they like to play with?

Mark Weller (Dad) and Paul Haycock.

We play outside of The Crusaders a lot so we make quite a good team. There's always some advice being offered if you need it

Q6 Is Golf your number one sport or do you play others?

I do enjoy golf but I mostly play with the society. I am also a keen Rugby player and play on a Sunday for a club. I would say that they are my two favourite sports

Q7 How long have you been with The Crusaders?

About 3-4 years. John Avery was very welcoming despite my age and always shaking my hand, chatting to me on and off the course. If it wasn't for him I never would have met all the Crusaders. It was sad when he passed away

Q8 Is this your best result and how do you follow it?

Today was a great result but I wasn't happy with aspects of my game. There is room for improvement.

Q9 Are you going to be reminding your Dad of this victory at every available opportunity?

Of course! We all know who is No1 in our house

Q10 You were unfortunate to miss out on receiving your Trophy, so what would you like to say to the rest of the losers from RedLibbets?

I would like to say that I hope everyone had a good round and enjoyed themselves. The weather couldn't of been better. Big thanks to Dan & Chris for setting it all up and that I'm looking forward to the upcoming events. See you at Broome Park
